    Because nowadays most of them are plastic and don't actually give a crap about the club.

    ...

    Oh and they spent hundreds of millions... I guess that helps.

    Because if they left they'd quickly go into administration!

    Their wagebill is horrific! <yikes>

    That's one positive thing I'd have to say about Ashley, we more or less live within our means and are developing younger players. The likes of Man City and Chelsea are still chasing their wagebill and rely heavily on their owners for transfers. They are both higher risk potential takeovers than the 'Big3' (Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal) so the fans need to cling onto their sugar daddies for dear life!
