Ok the guys not that good but to be fair apart from that one cock-up and the missed open goal he hasn't made that many mistakes, the likes of Gerrard made mistakes at critical times yet he's player of the season? When he came into the team we were at the bottom of the league and we finished quite high up. It's a shame so many people have to have somebody to knock, why don't you pick on the genuine numpties like Bullard?
Who would you rather have in your team...Jimmy Bollard or Jimmy Harper Bearing in mind Bollard is injured for 2/3rds of every season, cant run and dare not tackle or Harper who is not the sharpest tool in the box, can't pass well and misses goals which are harder to miss than score but tackles well, hard and gets around the pitch all day long. Granted, Bollard is a ball player and can make things happen but he leaves a huge gap in the middle and we have nobody in the team who can actually tackle. If we get rid of Harper we will be bereft of a midfield tackler....get in someone who can actually make a tackle and fine, get shut but for me he is the only one in the squad who puts his foot in....like Ashbee did. Big gap needs filling before he goes in my opinion. Like has been reported, we need the following. Goal keepers Defenders Midfielders Strikers Then we can compete
