I said ( elsewhere ) that even if the victim 'deserved worse ' - we cannot accept our troops to be judge, jury & executioner - otherwise we become no better than the 'enemy'. I can accept that our service personnel ( including the three involved ) do a good job to try to bring peace to the World, but this stupid act will do nothing to promote peace - and will give the 'enemy' more reason to label the rest of the world as hypocrites. If the victim deserved to die - perhaps by execution after a fair trial , then 'no problem.' But how can the world decry the actions of terrorists ( living & killing by their code of conduct ) when we do much the same - allegedly in the name of World peace ?

One dead insurgent less in Afghanistan, the only mistake the Marine made was filming it the daft ****.
Sending your army into other people's countries and allowing them to summarily execute the local resistance is morally questionable though.
The guy was a Combatant Mick, and as far as I am aware the Taliban have not signed up to the Geneva convention, I have zero sympathy because I certainly would not be calling for medical support, I probably would'nt have shot him, I would have left him to die.
By the sounds of it, the fella was quickly on his way out. Leaving him to die would've been more callous. As for giving him first aid, am I missing something? Since when did soldiers try to heal the enemy?
They are obliged to aid enemy soldiers, it's just a pity this was not a soldier or he may have been helped.
Probably a primal urge. Similar to killing something that was weaker than you for the sake of it <whatahero>.
