Tommy Smith isn't good enough (right now) and is costing us goals...that's 2 in 2 games that we've conceded due to him being involved...how many times is this going to keep on happening? I'm pretty sure a few goals conceded last season were his fault as well...
I know PJ's looking for one but he needs to bring a decent, proven, centre half now.

Will Tommy get better though, that's the question?

I sometimes think Smith's appearances for New Zealand and the fact he has played in the World Cup and Olympics mask the fact he isn't great...

Could the Donkey do a better job with Chambers alongside him?

Under the club’s professed new policy of “sign or be sold” if you’re in the last year of your contract, Delaney should currently be either transfer listed or pondering a new deal (as should Edwards, not that he’s strictly speaking a defender).

With Delaney, I rather hope it is or is going to be the former (nothing against the feller…) so our defensive situation is, as ever, critical.

At least there’s Elliot to possibly raise the spirits a bit, as long as his hips aren’t knackered for good.

What a surprise, we’ve shipped five again and it might get worse. I was about to suggest trawling League One for their best defenders, but who’d want to come here with our apparently genius coaching methods? What a wonderful grip we must have on tactics, organisation and motivation.

    I’m slightly depressed right now!

Elliot is obviously a direct replacement for Edwards, maybe next season. Ainsley needs to go on loan for experience and we desperately need a new CB. I also don't think Chopra is the answer up front, we need a new striker.

Wondering if we might well see the Green Door being slotted in as CB next week?

If Luke Hyam hadn't of been playing, who knows what the score would of been.<laugh>
