    Gervinho or Gamerio?

Obviously it would be great to have them both but with a reported 10 million price tag on each it seems unlikely. If I had to choose I would go with Gamerio.

Gervinho is our top priority at the moment but he seems very reluctant to sign on with us, instead insisting he wants a deal with a Spanish team like Valencia. This worries me as in the past Newcastle have splashed money on unwilling players and if we do manage to buy out Gervinho I fear that he will have nothing to prove, like a mini Torres. I am probably being a little too dramatic here but anything can happen at Newcastle.

According to some sources Gamerio wants to sign with us and play for Newcastle and with the Cabaye deal all but sorted it could be more beneficial as we have two players who I would assume already have strong chemistry between them and could prove invaluable in certain times of a game.

Those are just my thoughts I am not suggesting that I would not be thrilled if Gervinho signed I am just hoping that if he does sign, he does it because he truly wants to play for us and not because Valencia wouldn’t buy him.

    Your thoughts?

You've mixed them up entirely, Gameiro has his sights set on Spain (but is not opposed to a move to England either) and reports suggest Gervinho is the one who has agreed a deal here already.

Would be much easier if Gervinho was an out and out striker, seems to be the reason he is our second choice here.

think you've got it the wrong war round mate ;p Gervinho wants to sign and it's Gamerio who is reluctant but Valencia can't afford him

I know, fair enough they have similar names.

In my opinion, both deals unfortunately have their drawbacks. Gameiro's heart is not in the move and I'd hate us to be someone's second choice. Gervinho is more keen, but I can help but feel its due to financial reasons over footballing ones, and he wouldnt be ideal for the lone striker role either.

I'd still take either one in a heartbeat.

Yeah, if reports are true that trying to sign one of the two with Gameiro as first preference then I'm not too sure.
I'm tempted to go with Gervinho, because I think he seems a player who would be able to adapt more to the PL. In a video I posted of Gameiro the other day, he was really good in it but the defending was terrible and he had a lot more time on the ball than he would in the PL whereas Gervinho seems a lot stronger and looks like he would adapt easier.
It's a tricky one, however we do need a striker more than a RW so technically Gameiro would be a preference.
I think we should go for both, and forget N'Zogbia!

Just because you want to go on a date with Cheryl Tweedy, you're not going to be dissapointed if Nadine Coyle asks you out.

I've been watching Gameiro for ages now, he top class and been doiing the business for seasons. I'm pretty sure I also mentioned him first, even before the rumours of us being linked were started.

WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THROW IN THE MIX THAT WE'LL LOSE GERVINHO FOR THE AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS. A REAL DOWN SIDE TO SIGNING AFRICAN INTERNATIONALS.

Sorry for the caps, on my mobile and would take ages to delete it all and retype...so live with it....lol
