    What a player.

Dribbling, passing, technique, vision, creativity and clinical finishing. He's got it all.

We got a special player on our hands people.

Already better than Ljungberg and Pires imo.

He impressed at times. He clearly has some flair, acceleration and covers a lot of ground. His dribbling is ok, his finishing could be better. It was only his first season but he showed that at times he has the potential to be a world beater. Maybe now he's settled we'll see his best performances more consistently.

I've always been a fan of Gervinho. He started well last season and beat players and caused problems for defenders. He faded after ACON but it was his first season. I think he could hit the ground running this season and become an important player for us. <ok>

What? The guy's world class, you idiot.

You can't talk with ****ty Ibrahimovic as your username. Gervinho is better than Ibra. Fact!

Those of you who have been comparing me to this moron need to take a long and hard look at yourselves. I deeply embarrassed and offended by this comparison.

It's difficult for me to decide on Gervinho. He definitely is not a complete bust, and I don't think we can make any judgements on him based on a first season in the PL.

I am surprised that people think his ball control is good. I don't think it is as good as Walcott's, who takes the ball at speed and keeps the ball much closer to him. You can argue Walcott loses control more, but what he does has a higher level of difficulty.

I really dislike people referring to all our players as "rubbish" though (or the greatest). This need to either describe players as the best, or the worst, I find very tiresome. There are so many variables involved in judging players and even after that the player may not be what a team needs. Even Lionel Messi is not always a good fit for a team (Argentina). Just resorting to hyperbole every time, doesn't improve people's impression of you as a reliable judge of football.

Gervinho is more talented than Pires imo.

The way he elegantly moves with the ball is great to watch. Top class player.

What's the list now for Arsenal players that The Zlatan has decribed as awful or rubbish? Getting kinda tiresome. At least explain why.

I agree his balance is extremely good. He doesn't seem to go off-balance even when he is under-pressure. For me, his control problems are all around his first touch. Once he gets the ball under control he is very difficult to dispossess. He is the sort of player that is very dangerous if he gets too much space to receive the ball.

    1. Kieran Gibbs - Terrible positioning and attacking discipline, leaves us far to exposed at the back and costs us goals. Will never be good enough.
    2. Andre Santos - Same reasons as above, but is prone to errors as well.
    3. Gervinho - All he can do is dribble... That's about it. Can't pass, can't shoot, can't cross. Runs like a headless chicken. I hope he comes good though, and I am still willing to give him a chance.
    4. Thomas Vermaelen - As a CB, I do not like him because of the same reasons as Gibbs, although he is a very good player apart from those faults. I hope he is moved to LB.

    That's about it.

He has Gervihno, Gibbs, Santos, Theo, and probably some more. He is really reminding me of Jayram.
