Despite only scoring twice in fifteen appearances, Gervinho has been instrumental in enabling RVP to score so many this season. His runs into the heart of defence cause panic for the opposition and create spaces for our other attacking players to become dangerous. He works really hard for the team and is committed to the cause.

He still needs to work on his finishing and sometimes he could pick a pass instead of shooting, but last season we were all clamouring for a player who would take on the defence and shoot, so I don't think we can hold too much against Gervinho for having a go.

I think he deserves special praise for how quickly he has adapted to the premier league, lots of attacking players from foreign leagues are kicked out of the game and their confidence is shot before they've even had time to settle. Gervinho is the opposite, his confidence is the thing that allows him to slice open defences and create chances. I just think he needs a goal and then more should follow - In my opinion, he is already making more of a positive impact than Nasri did last season - another good buy from Wenger.

<ok> Agreed. I think the goals will come. I'd much rather see him looking to shoot, than endlessly looking to pass. That said, I think he had got a good pass on him and he has good a good assist record already this season.

I am a really big fan of gervinho. He is such a natural footballer, he just seems to glide along the pitch when he dribbles with the ball. I think that maybe his mental strength could be worked on a little. As he seems to make basic errors/miss chances when he makes one mistake. But he is a tremendous footballer and already has 5 assists, and he makes very intelligent runs and creates space for others. He just needs to relax more he has the ability to become and arsenal great.

The main issue is his finishing which at times can be very poor however he offers a lot to the team and consistently works hard even when tracking back to defend. His partnership with Van Persie at the moment is amazing and with Walcott now beginning to contribute a lot more on the other side I am very pleased with the front 3 partnership.

I'd rather we'd started with Gervinho last night. Arshavin has always been lazy, it's okay when he's scoring, but now the goals and creativity seem to have dried up too, Gervinho is always going to be ahead of him.

I can understand that Wenger needs to rest players though, but we need to make sure that we're replacing them with equal quality.
