That tackle was just beautiful to watch and quite honestly probably saved us a beating, thought he was the best defender on show and they were all good yesterday, how good that feels to say after our failings in that area last season, long may it continue to improve

I agree with you, i thought Gerrard in particular was the best defender on the field, Hudson played well, mcnaughts gave the ball away a bit but forever reliable and Marshall was outstanding, it certainly looks as if Marshall has been working on his distribution, I optimisitcally think we are going to have a good year.

I never pay attention to the LB anymore, especially after the last few seasons :emoticon-0110-tongu

The tackle in the penalty area may not be the one you'll remember as the best by the end of the season but without any doubt it was the bravest.
In these days of penal;ty happy refs he took his position on the park in his hands when he committed to it. If he had messed it on the striker had dives it was an absolute certain Red Card.
It shows the commitment but it also shows the confidence, and if it was like that then what muist it be like nowm having made a superb tackle and probably helped to win the game/ i think he will onlt get stronger, then perhaps he can persude his cous to come and join him. lol
