The new Mr Hollywood? Well, some one had to take over from Adam with his wild shots. Has he had one shot on target yet?

His usual performance imo todya. Some quality passes to set up attacking moves, but they're spread between some terrible defensive play, no clue why BR has him sitting deep. He's not the all action midfielder he used to be. Needs to play behind Suarez or not at all.

Been poor most of the season.

He's playing deep which doesnt suit him as he's got to run around and attach and defend which he doesn't have the legs, discipline to do.

I would say his attitude and body language has been poor this season too.

Trouble is we don't have anyone better.

Plus he is one of the few capable of putting a good set piece in - which he does do once or twice a game.

Once Lucas is back and firing we can either play Gerrard further up with Suarez or bench him.

I could be wrong, but I think he got a shot on target against the Mancs when he scored. Like I said, I could be wrong so don't quote me on that. <whistle> <ok>

He should be more like Henderson and Allen and pass it backwards and sideways <ok>

We'd really be winning the all important passes completed battle then.

Disagree on Henderson. He had a great game and looked forward alot.

  10. Stop causing trouble! <laugh>

I don't mind him making the forward, long range passes, its doing it every time that annoys me. However, the thing that annoys me most about Gerrard is his laziness, he should be tracking back and helping his teammates...especially when he is the one that has given possession away by doing a silly back heel in a dangerous area <doh>

He was very poor today, he wants to play " the killer final ball" EVERY time he touches it which results in 90% of the time us losing it.What he should be doing is conducting the orchestra, every time he touches the ball it should be 1/2 touch in to the space, if it is, suddenly the 1/2 touch habit spreads throughout the whole team and the opposition opens up without you even trying too hard.

  12. Doing it every time makes it predictable. Predictable is easy to defend <ok>

I think he's scared of the fans reaction if he's dropped.

I think he's scared of the player's reaction if he's dropped. Drop the captain to the bench? No chance. He'd lose the respect of the team, especially as a young manager.

From a neutral perspective I thought he was poor today, tried to play long diagonal passes most of the game that were easily cut off and made one back heel without looking straight to one of ours and could have cost a goal. He may be better at this stage in his career to just sit in font of the back four and try to pull the strings from there and let other younger players get forward a bit more.

Still a class act but not the all action up and down player of a few years ago
