Gerrard - Captain Fantastic?

What a player and captain he's been for us this tournament.

Absolute class. Hope he continues to lead by example tonight against Italy.

I know there were many, many doubters about Gerrard even being in the squad, let alone being captain.

I hope these people can see why Roy picked him, without him we'd be out by now

So haters, what are your honest thoughts about Gerrard throughout this tournament?

 

He's a thug on and off the park, that's all.

 

I don't recall many people saying he shouldn't be in the squad, it's not as if we are blessed with a dearth of central midfielders.
