Really sad affair … DEFRA COULD NOT …. WOULD NOT re test … it would set a precedent, every test could be challenged whether a case can be made or not ???? . Having attended an agricultural college [ I was into country life and farming! way back then and worked on farms till I was 18 ] and had a small holding from 1981 to 1992 bTB is not unknown to me. The test, [ Geronimo ] was 3 years ago! And no further tests were done … although requested? … was the original a flawed test? a retest would surely have answered the Question. I have seen TB in animals [ Cows ] long before the compulsory testing and it is not nice when it really takes over.
Geronimo looked very healthy, and admittedly could have been a carrier .. but no test /retest to find out! They have killed him!...…. dragged him away the poor animal must have had a horrible last few minutes of its life crowds of strange people lassoing him and dragging into a trailer …

WHY DO WE NOT kill humans that have it / carry it?

The last test was 2017, it doesn’t make sense why they didn’t just retest it. Also according to BBC the court had ordered a stay of execution till Sept 4th, which is Friday , so why do it now ?

    Edit the 4th is Saturday

The last day was the 4th, had to be executed before the 4th … the dirty tricks seem to have been people on holiday and cant respond so put off Ms MacDonald thinking they would be in touch before 4th "to possibly discuss " concerns.... Defra is faceless cowards a department that does do some good but a real obnoxious lot to deal with at times … They all believe they are alpha's

IMO disgusting how all of this was dealt with from so say qualified Defra.....Crazy that the tests for TB were nearly 4 years ago and not given the opportunity to have Geronimo tested for a third time or let him live to aid research into the disease. .............Scientific advice without the latest facts, heard that before somewhere!

Notice the b before TB [ bTB] well Geronimo came from NZ and had anti bodies in his blood … b = bovine = predominately Bovine animals. I don't think pigs and sheep get it? Can never recall pigs from AG: College being prone and a discussion with my cuz [ 2000+ ewes ] saying he had a problem although did lose a highland cattle cow to it ….. they so called killed 200 llamas/ camels in past 12 month's in UK!

Alpacas and llamas appear to be very susceptible to Mycobacterium bovis infection. Signs of infection with TB include weight loss and respiratory signs. At post mortem examination, lesions are predominantly in the respiratory system although they are seen in other organs in cases of more generalised disease. Lung lesions are often very extensive and cavitation is common, where lung tissue is destroyed and replaced by a cavity. Cavitation may be important in the spread of TB.

Geronimo certainly looked wafer thin and unable to breathe.... or was the filming photo shopped!
