Should we choose to back those brave talented honest German lads or those cheating diving fiddling Italians? you decide. I'm not bias in anyway shape or form. Though i may have had a small wager on Germany winning the Euro's
I had the Germans down to lift the trophy from the outset. I'm backing Wales, but Germany will beat them in the final.
Despite Germany being likely favourites, they have never beaten Italy in tournament football, meeting 8 times. 1962 World Cup Group Stage: West Germany 0-0 Italy 1970 World Cup Semi Final: Italy 4-3 West Germany (aet) 1978 World Cup 2nd Round: Italy 0-0 West Germany 1982 World Cup Final: Italy 3-1 West Germany Euro 88 Group Stage: West Germany 1-1 Italy Euro 96 Group Stage: Italy 0-0 Germany 2006 World Cup Semi Final: Germany 0-2 Italy (aet) Euro 2012 Semi Final: Germany 1-2 Italy Fancy them to finally break that streak today. This match should on paper be match of the tournament, these have been the best two teams so far.
Stick your neck out on the world champions there, didn't you? I'll be watching in a bar full of Jermans, forza Azzurri!
I'm away to Italia in a couple of weeks so I'm gonna be rooting for them. I want the bastards to be in a good mood whilst I'm there. Who knows, a chilled, happy Eyetie might drive in a more civilised manner, instead of continuing their collective vendetta of trying to kill me. Besides, I like pizza and pasta much more than the rancid ****e that the Hermans laughingly call food. What the ****ing **** is an actual schnitzel?
I get sick of reading how wonderful Germany are, even though it's true, so definitely Italy. I always like the underdog but even moreso against Germany.
Disappointed in you lot. This ****s got a lot to answer for Have we all forgotten Cloughies great words after been cheated by the Juventus lot After Derby had lost a European Cup semi-final game against Juventus in Turin in April 1973, Clough emerged from the dressing room and told the expectant Italian reporters, "No cheating bastards do I talk to. I will not talk to any cheating bastards." He shut the dressing-room door, re-emerged and instructed me to "Tell them what I said, Brian!"
Germany appear to have changed to a back 3 to match up with Italy - could be an interesting change that. Italy missing De Rossi could be big in the midfield. This is going to extra time IMO.
