Looking forward to this, a proper test but Germany lack the leaders they had a year ago. Also, if the the drinking policy at the Olympiastadion Berlin is the same as for Bundesliga games, the English fans will be drowning in giant beers.

    Wunderbar!

It'll be interesting to see how brave Hodgson will be, if he allows a bit of freedom I think we have the players to cause them problems...

Good game, high tempo, competitive. Neither defence looks great, chances at both ends.

We have the potential to select a very exciting, good team.

However, you can bet your last penny we'll go with Henderson, Lallana, Rooney and Wilshere if all can walk on June 10th.

Alli looks a seriously good player. Don't mind Lallana, but am mystified by Henderson.

He plays for Liverpool who are still regarded as a big club despite being about the tenth best in the country.

Lallana just fluffed a great chance.

Yep, though Wellbeck was daydreaming a bit too. I don't think Lallana is a world beater, or necessarily a first pick for England, but I've seen worse playing for us.

England playing well, until we let that goal in. Balls.

Butland seemed to make an unnecessary roll when he collected the ball a few minutes prior to letting in that goal and going off injured. Following that roll he also looked dodgy after kicking the ball whilst under pressure.

If we're going to shoehorn someone in there, Barkley is twice the player.

Feel sorry for Butland, but the idiot should have kicked the ball out as soon as he felt what was obviously a serious injury.
Overall a good performance from England with Alli outstanding. Should be level on chances against a very good side.

Good to see us pressing high up the pitch and being consistent about it. Certainly doesn't seem to be any difference in technical ability between these teams. I suspect we may tire a bit, it's been a high energy half. Who's on the bench, and will we see the usual 5 subs in a friendly?

Some good spells of play but a poor goal to concede. Shame is you know when it comes to the Euros he'll pick Wilshere, Rooney, Sturridge and Welbeck which will be more of the same as before. We didn't win anything with them and we won't this time, he has to be bold and use a more attacking formation such as a 4-4-1-1 with Alli in behind Kane with the diamond midfield, that would be adventurous...

The pressing has been excellent, as has the passing.
This is a talented young crop of English players.

    Get Barclay on second half.

If Lallana's chance had fallen to Rooney he'd have scored.

Lallana shouldn't have started - he just isn't good enough at this level
