The English media is filled with the idea that the German team needs motivating because five of its players were in the Bayern team that lost to the Chavs. I rather suspect, however, that that is nothing more than wishful thinking. The fact is, that Bayern were by far the better team, ripping new ones for the Chavs over every inch of the park, and should have won that game by a country-mile. If anything, the Germans will be motivated to give England the greatest spanking of the competition. If I was a German player, I would be praying to meet England.
every major tournament they say the same thing's about Germany not being a threat, and they are wrong every time, the german's only need a tournament to motivate them
Germany could win every game in qualifying 7-0 and the team is filled with players that won every trophy available, but the tabloids would still say the're not the force they once were.
i thought the loss in the domestic cup final and playing second fiddle in the league may have been the motivation for the CL final..but it was not so i doubt if failure will motivate the Germans. i did watch them against Switzerland too..and well it may have been a bit of a experimental team but the Swiss dismantled them well..however come the real deal i expect the germans to step it up as there are many players from other teams and not just Bayern's.
