    GERMAN CONTRACT TERMINATED

Posted on: Wed 31 Aug 2011
Young QPR front-man Antonio German has left the Club by mutual consent with immediate effect.

The 19 year-old striker, who joined the R's as a 14 year-old and went on to make 20 appearances in all competitions, has had his contract terminated.

The Club would like to wish Antonio all the best for the future.

It's good for him. He will probably have received a payoff (not alot, but he won't be broke) and can sign for anyone now. As a free agent the transfer window means nothing.

I think he'll do a good job for someone in championship or league 1.

Always sad to see a young player let go. Neverunderstood why we let Josh Parker go. He seemed like an excellent player and is now playing regular League 1 footy with Oldham. Few years and I thought he could've blossomed.

    Good luck to Antonio.

German is a good lad and has potential, I was hoping we would keep him for the U21 rule and loan him out but I can't see where he fits in alongside our current targets. Fair play to club for letting him go so that he can go to another club free. Top end Div1 / Championship level at the moment and has potential.

Good luck to him, wish him all the best.

Without wishing to resort to stereotypes Parker had an attitude problem. He refused to sit on the bench whilst on loan somewhere and generally thought he was better than he was.

German is a glaring example of why we needed to invest better in the youth teams. He clearly had all the physical attributes but had absolutely no first touch or technique and will probably now wallow in the conference for eternity.
