Always sad to hear of the passing of a former footballer, but I thought this one might interest some of the older readers: I was in Junior school in Cardiff when a tall loud lad came in and dominated all the yard football games. Our scouting was rubbish in those days, very primitive as I recall, lots of good players passed under our noses because of lack of foresight and finance.....who knows what he could have done for us!

If you can get a copy of his autobiography its a cracking read i think i have still got it somewhere, time for another read of it methinks, chinaglia was a top player in his day, i believe his old man had a cafe/restaurant somewhere in cardiff if i remember right. Sadly he left the swans 2 or 3 years before i started supporting them.

RIP Giorgio and condolences to the family

I suppose it`s foolish to dwell on it, but had the camera`s been around Pontcanna Fields and the like a few years back....who knows, you could be watching a montage of my goals against Roath Villa etc.
What a player and finisher we missed out on eh?
