So most of you would have heard or seen the news today. Minder was a personal fave of mine and quite a few scenes were filmed near or around the W12 area.

I often wonder if the late Jim Gregory was a bit like Arthur! No complaints if he was.

Used to love Minder, he was also a good comedy actor in many films prior to that. Always played a bit of a spiv but was completely suited to it.
    RIP George

the opening scene in his car lot was filmed at the top of my old road (Dewhurst) which was just off Shepherds Bush Road. We used to be allowed to go and watch them filming as kids. They were there loads and if it wasn't them it was Bodie and Doyle in The Professionals!!

Was the best programme on TV in the 80s, just had that certain something that set it apart and 'Arfur' and 'Terry' were a class act...

    RIP George.

I saw him once getting out of his car in Henley
I shouted over to him "hello arfer" and quick as a flash he replied "alright my son" in character.
    Lovely moment.
Minder was superb and I loved his portrail of Arthur Daley.

George Cole RIP. Best known for his role as Arfur Daley, he was also in my favourite Christmas film, A Christmas Carol (1951). Not the re touched 'colour' one, the B/W. I wouldn't have the colour one in the house!!
