    Just heard on Radio Brizzle

More to follow, not yet on the BBC site, then again they have n't worked out how to increment the corner counter so far this season so I'm not holding my breath

Even though the Dunfords have done a lot for our club down the years (like saving from going bust) Something needed happened hopefully a few more will resign to.

Rumour is that he was the only one of the suits not 100% behind DC at the latest crisis meeting ! For that he has at least had the balls to stand up and be his own man.

Shame as Geoff and his Dad saved Rovers as others have said. In the past they certainly had the Club at heart.

Thanks for what you, at least have done for the Club in the past Geoff. Personally I am not convinced that the right Director has gone and in view of this and the appalling state of affairs behind the scenes, reflected from the top down to on field actions from the clowns in quarters I hope NH is next.

Save Bristol Rovers FC, bring in new custodians for our Football Club.

I don 't know what to make of this, but it sounds like rats leaving the sinking ship to be honest.

It seems that nobody can work with Higgs. I'd rather be sold up and departed rather than Dunford.

How bloody true is that, its not only on the Football Field that his meddling and fiddling (whilst Rovers burn, just like Nero and Rome. So how apt Italy holds such appeal to our Chairman). he cant hold the Boardroom together and from a successful Building Company founder he cant even confirm or most likely deny that the UWE will happen.

Sorry Nick when did you say work begins ? Not a chance in hell for starters imagine what a White Elephant it'd be.

Imagine this, new Record attendance announced for the big West Country Derby played at the UWE Stadium earlier today.

Bristol Rovers v Weston super Mare attendance 1124

Nice political statement, personal reasons, all in it together etc etc. WTF can we expect I disagree with the way the club has been allowed to drift along and "oh and by the way no way on earth do I think the current Chairman will not only fail to deliver League Status Football but his vision for the long term future is that we shall continue to play at the Mem with UWE being another dream not reality".

You are right Geoff non League Football for Bristol Rovers is not acceptable. The Supporters have indeed been incredibly patient for so many Seasons now and have constantly backed the Club and Players whilst they constantly under achieve thanks to bad management, total incohesion within the apparently harmonious Board, and thats for starters.

Yes as you have stated it will not happen overnight (success), so how much more patience should honestly be expected form Gasheads given the lack of positive activities over lets be kind, the past 6 Seasons ?

I am sure we (Gasheads) all still love the Club, its the people running and attempting to play for it that have let it down, not the Supporters. That is why we hurt so much.

The worrying bit is that he has provided mainly financial support, so presumably they need to bring someone else in who has deep pockets and long arms...

I wish the rest of the board would follow Geoffs example, put the club up for sale and **** off.

Dunford put the club up for sale before but put the club up way too high so no one was interested.

This time, the valuation will be higher as we got planning permission for the UWE stadium and Sainsburys got Planning permission for the Mem.

You would think that we would be a good choice for investors at our level because we got (hopefully) a new stadium planned, big fanbas, big catchment area so has a lot of potential to ride the leagues like what Crawley has done. So what is putting investors off? My money is Higgs. I dont think he wants to go and I dont think he wants to reduce his shares either. He wants to be top dog and investors wouldnt like that.
