So correct me if I'm wrong...and i could be..
Just been looking at the prem table and am i right in thinking that, if Chelsea dont win the Chumps league with a 500 million pound team, they may not even be playing European football next season....???
    Honestly not sure...really.....anyone know?...would be hillarious !

They need to win the final to play Champions league next season - they are out of that if they don't win it! I think they will play Europa League next season but not sure about that one.

Think they are certain to get Europa League through winning the Cup, just like Liverpool get it for winning League Cup. But have to beat Bayern to get in CL,which would mean only top 3 in prem would get CL next year. But they ain't going to beat Bayern.
    Good isn't it?

They will play Europa League through winnng the FA Cup, unless they win the Champs League, in which case they go into CL with both Manchester clubs and 3rd place, and I'm guessing teams 4, 5 and Liverpool (through Carling Cup win) go into Europa League.

If they lose the CL final they will be without CL football next season.
They are qualified to the Europa League through their FA Cup win, but the way English teams treat that competition they might as well not bother.

I'm fairly sure that even though Chelsea won the FA cup it does not qualify them for the Europa League.

Liverpool are sure as winners of League Cup
Re Birmingham last season did it.

3rd place will be Arsenals = UEFA Cup. Chelsea = Europa due to winning FA Cup. I think <laugh>

The ONLY reason we qualified for Europa last season was straight forward we lost in the FA Cup to Citeh who finished top 4, so as losing finalists we got it.

    Complicated isn't it.

(EDIT) ONLY TWO can compete in the Europa League Liverpool and I understand that because they lost in the FA Final they use the fair play system ie Fulham did it and reached the final... in a word. GOD knows?

Your'e first comment to me? It's a clear as mud but a Newcastle fans said they would "at least get Europa next season so, I'm not sure tbh.

    Re Sunday
I HOPE Pulis does not do his usual " They are world class" Or " They are fighting for their lives" every pre match he say's it.
What he should be saying is we CAN win this and WE WILL do our best for the Stoke fans and to be FAIR on the other teams, in this case QPR so..

We usually do well at home and IF Pulis plays what we the fans know is our BEST team we should win on Sunday by best team here it is..

    Begovic
    Wilkinson Huth Shawcross Collins
Pennant He's not locked up YET Palacios Whelan Etherington

    Crouch Jerome/Walters

It will be interesting to see the "actual" line up come 3 on Sunday. Really hope we win it for YOUR sake and the 3pts or us could mean a few places higher in the League. And, I dislike Owen Coyle almost as much as I do Tony Pulis. Believe me he is slowing killing our football club. Fans hate us and tbh I don't blame them. And, it worries me that IF we happen to score first. Guaranteed Pulis will tell our player's to sit back. Just as he did last weekend. He HOPED for a pt and got zero.

No doubts the stoke fans will be up for it and I know the player's will. Hope this helps.

Pottter, you may not be the most liked club in the prem , but. you have devloped a system that has allowed a smallish club like Stoke to become a consolodated, regular, hard to beat fixture in the Premiership. Ok its not the type of football we at QPR enjoy, but it presents a challenge of tactics, ability, managerial strength and sheer determination for every other club you play.

For that i salute you...and until someone works out a way to beat you consistantly, then fair play to you...

I thank yopu for the 3 points last week and this week I'm not even watching our game. I'm tunning into your game this week as a Stoke fan !!
Get Crouchie to do the bussiness..he was great last week and we barely won a header against him....

Yeh, Crouch to do the job for us. I have long seen him as one of the most under-rated footballers in English football.

Chelsea are definitely in at least at the Europa league. Winning either of the leagues' cups automatically sends you into the Europa League, unless of course you are in the champions league spaces where it goes to the next placed team in the league.

Theres a massive amount of difference in money between CL and EL football. Thats why many teams dont even bother being competitive in the EL.

It will be a massive double blow to them if they lose the CL final.

The Europa league prize money doesn't even cover the cost of travel for clubs. Simple facts.

Great to hear directly from a Stoke supporter. So many of us were asking why on earth they would pay to see the kind of negative rubbish served up last Sunday. The answer of course is that they are true fans and will always rally round their team but that doesn't mean they have to like what they see. On the other hand they will be playing PL football next season while we may be playing Stevenage...
