Yeah that puzzled me somewhat… it wasn’t like we just have a few lucky deflections, we battered them. Was bizarre.
Yeah, the penalty miss goes down as almost a full point of ExG. That always messes up the matric tbh.
But the fact we scored 5 and Isak also missed 2 one on ones and someone else (I think Murphy) also did doesn't seem to make sense our ExG was so low. I guess the argument is that we're very clinical.

I did say at the start of the season that I had a feeling Arsenal would win the CL this year, dont know why, its just a feeling I had.
PSG are an incredible attacking outfit, but we've shown that we can defend against Europe's top attacking talent. I think we've got enough over the two legs to beat them, but I wouldn't want to call it either way. We just know we'll have to be at our best again to get to the final
And yeah, I think it will be against Barca. Hopefully revenge for 2006, but Barca are the final specialists and always seem to find a way to win.
I dunno man, I'm hoping and I'm excited at what I'm seeing us do in this comp. But we're only in the semi's at this point.

Rice was superb - but it should have been a penalty ...
Yes Mbapoe went down very easily but Rice still had him enveloped in both arms to hold him ... which you aren't allowed to do - as evidenced by the first pen - given for illegally impeding an opponent by holding ..
The whole holding thing is ruining the game - needs FIFA to issue directives to refs to penalise and yellow card anybody doing it ... would soon cure it ...
Palace will always have a high xG when they have a penalty specialist like Eze playing.
The worst pen I've ever seen was Lookman for Fulham when he tried a panenka and the keeper just stood up and caught it......Eze last night comes close second though, with that jumpy little pixie dance before rolling it slowly on the ground straight to the keeper.
Think all penalties have the same xG. Around 0.8. The team does need to take a penalty to get that xG.
I don’t think it’s a meaningless stat but just needs some context. A team can be really under the cosh but conceding minimal xG. It’s quite common.
