So I missed the point by pointing out that, rather than being a 'finer subtlety', it was a bit impetuous and immature to leave his studs in on Bellingham in the VAR era and risk not playing in the return as a result?

You claimed the kid was adept at the 'finer subtleties' of the game ... I merely pointed out that he obviously isn't if he reacts like he did with Bellingham ... indeed, if he doesn't grow up a bit he could end up costing you ...

As for cutting out the needle, I've already said, I agree with that.
