We had no plan B, we went into it playing our usual style of football, so of course we had fantastic possession stats. 62% to their 38%, which looks sound on paper.
Except, of that, we had 2 shots on target to their 10. That's all that counts in a game of football, so to say "we played alright" OK lol. We passed it about for the entire game, threatened next to nothing and they sat in ****ing neutral, letting us do our usual tired nonsense.
Howe is soft as ****, a clear problem with the man, he is far, far too friendly with our players. We sign talent for 62m and 40m, but don't want to upset the usuals in the squad, so he doesn't stick them right into the 11. I know Gordon was cup tied, but why was Isak not just playing? Why did we waste 45 minutes.
I think we continue to sign decent players for the next few years, then drop this manager say thanks for the stability and chase a manager who is a winner.
