The contract was literally about to be signed - Fonseca even confirmed it - and then Paratici pulled the plug and decided to go for Nuno.
I’ve liked Paratici’s signings so far but he totally ****ed up the manager appointment and I’ll be surprised if Nuno even makes it til the end of the season, apparently we can sack him for free if we don’t make top four… and we definitely ain’t doing that.

Further than that I think. He was the fan’s 10th+ choice and the club’s 7th or 8th… shambles, lol.
From memory the club either tried going for, or showed an interest in:
Nagelsmann - got snapped up by Bayern
Rodgers - ruled himself out although not sure we ever approached
ten Hag - signed a new one year extension
Potter - was also massively wanted by a lot of fans
Rangnick - briefly linked, not sure how concrete the interest was
Fonseca - plug pulled last minute
Gattuso - **** knows why and the fans actually stopped it from happening
And Maria Guardiola. She's smoking hot tbh and they've been seen out together plenty.
