The great Frank lampard has now failed his country and his club.. Always nice to seal your legacy in such a way

Hang on, how did he fail his country? 29 goals. 29! I'd blame him one of the least of that generation (if you want to blame any of them and personally I wouldn't).

One of the few of that bunch to come close it his club form with England.

Never produced when it mattered... His generation flopped at international level. I mean heskey scored goals too

Heskey was a striker and got 7 goals. Lampard was a midfielder and was the 10th highest scorer in English history, 2nd highest for a midfielder.

"That Lionel Messi chap, never got his country to win a world cup - over-rated if you ask me. Proper chancer."

Carrick should have got far more caps.

Gerrard and Lampard could have played together but not in a 442 which was painfully obvious for years. Lampard in his Chelsea role was clearly a very effective player but we didn’t have a Makelele, Essien or Drogba to do the dirty work.

Lampard never did **** all for England he along with others failed when it mattered.. Thats my point... Gerrard was the only one that did anything in the major competitions.. Lamps did not produce when it mattered.

I never said he was good btw so try to stay on track

Carrick in the holding role in a 4 3 3?
