I never appreciated how not **** PL officials are until I started going to non league games. The guys at that level have as much understanding of and empathy for the game as a BBC Sport gossip column spanner like Hilary.

I remember league one refs being absolutely awful so can only imagine how bad non league are.

When we were in League One, after watching refs slower and more overweight than me huffing about 5 minutes behind the play, I swore if we got back to the PL, I’d never complain again about PL officials.

Of course I have complained, but not with any conviction

Early hours of Sunday morning, and Stan's thoughts remain fixated on HIAG.

I have to say west ham seem to send a lot of money and get nowhere … when you see this it's understandable why our owner doesn't

They’ve got some very good players tbf. They just need the right man to make a team out of them. I thought Pellegrini looked a good appointment tbh, but after a decent start to his career there it’s all turned to **** again.

"Former player Paolo di Canio is an erratic [West Ham] fans' favourite [for manager]."
(Simon Stone writing for BBC Football Live)

Is that true? Or is this hack just making it up?

Your owner has been very canny.

He's basically a poor man's version of Levy.

too tight mate … 13 years and out net spent on average is around 6 million a year... He does well for the club financially and offers a low level product and we've lost thousands of fans .. before he came along there was a waiting list of years for season tickets and now he has to give 10 thousand away. The clubs done mate finished..the old hardcore are either dead or dying and the youth in the city are more interested in other things.. Relegation will happen again soon if not this year next and I think eventually nufc will end up an empty ground like boro and sunderland … north east football is finished … the landscape of the game changed and how many fans you have is irrelevant. We produce **** all either btw when once upon a time we produced some of the best in the world because kids played football in the street etc.

there's something wrong though sending fortunes and still being relegation fodder … I think there's too many clubs with money now and it's not worth the gamble unless you're prepared to keep pumping hundreds of millions on over 3 to 5 years it's a waste of time and then is it really worth doing as a business ? I suggest otherwise.

IF villa go down they could be in deep deep ****.
There are strong rumours that they over spent and broke FFP rules in the Championship and if their £150m spending spree in the summer don't keep them up they could be in for some bad years.

Villa fans won't have worked that out, yet.
