I'm chief, I have to resort to childish insults in the hope that it validates my argument but, at the same time, I also admit that what Big Ern said is essentially correct, we'd had no money or success ufor 25+years until we went to the City for money, just after we let Micheal Knoighton do some keepie uppies and offered us £30m he didn't have.

And you have the temerity to call me thick, what a ****er

No money yet continually broke transfer records?

Make your mind up.

If becoming a plc is begging the city for money then yes, you are 'essentially' correct.

Like all those plc's the country over, begging for money.

We could make a thread about these weird ****ers. They're shouting at a shop again <rofl>

I said you broke transfer records AFTER you went to the City with your begging bowl, not before. It's you that is contradicting yourself by stating you didn;t go to the City to get money to buy success, which you are now saying is exactly what you did do.
Poor bitter chief, now in the shadow of City and Liverpool,
yes, that's exactly why companies go PLC, to generate money they don't have, or they can sell it to a rich person to do the same thing, like Chelsea & City did

:emoticon-0159-musicYour City is Blue
Your City is Blu-ue
you thick bitter ****er
Your City is Blue:emoticon-0159-music

No one cares what you said, it's ****ing irrelevant, that fact is we did
break transfer records before

Bryan Robson? Gary Birtles? Peter Davenport? Did I imagine them?

But yeah, we needed the money and begged the city and that's, like, what really happened.

In Liverpool and City's shadow? <laugh>

considering only one of those was a transfer record, yes, you did inmagine it, were you supporting a more successful team back then and your memory is hazy? Maybe you should research things a bit more before you post, for example Davenport cost £750,000 in 1986, which is half what you paid for Robson n '81, 5 years earlier

And, since you've already admitted I was right, there's nothing more to say other than

You thick twat.

You’ve got your Kopite specs on again mate.

Barkley would have missed an open goal from 3 yards lol, whatever you say.

Chelsea looked slick on the ball, but they just couldn’t break through and were forced to work the ball wide and swing it into the box, which Newcastle were happy with. That game was all about one side not being interested in an actual game of football.
Spot on.

Big Ern; makes stuff up, claims it as fact, waits till gone midnight to post and claims the win.

Ern is a winner.

Davenport wasn't a record but it was still big money then.

Funnily enough, the Knighton game you brought up was Neil Webb's debut. He cost £1.5 million.

Maybe not a record either, not sure and not arsed, but up there. It was before we became a plc.

But you're right of course, we had no money so we begged the City to bail us out.

Essentially.

<ok>

Essentially, the reason given for Utd’s flotation on the NYSE was to pay off debt. Much of this debt was acquired when the Glazers borrowed the money to buy Utd and then made the club responsible for the debt.

By 2012 Utd had already paid some £500mill in interest payments.

We're talking about the original flotation.

Erm claims we were 'given' foreign money, which subsequently meant we bought the league for 20 years.

We were skint before that apparently.

His fantasy is bollocks but why let actual facts get in the way of a good story, it's Ern after all.

Just watching Ref Watch on Sky. Dermot Gallagher confirms our first goal was a penalty. Sorry folks. <laugh>

He has a problem with you United for some sad reason, no idea why. Probably got picked on when he was a fat little kid lol

Billericay Town were promoted to the Conference (National) South this season. They won four and drew one of their first five games. On Saturday they lost for the first time this season. The manager was sacked five minutes before FT.

I read about that. Apparently the owner is taking over. What a ****.

He’s done so much coke he probably doesn’t remember appointing himself. He’s done the job before with some success at times but they’re at a very competitive level now, as Stan will know more than most. Apparently the guy he sacked is exceptionally popular with the fans.
