I thought that stand only held about 3k, so googled and it is the figure you state, well 3,469 to be precise. Should be able to make a fair bit of noise under that tin roof.
3150 or something like that and they rustled up 250 restricted view the other day. I thought it was bigger than that but maybe it’s been reduced. Always seems like a big stand anyway. Went with Bury once midweek as one of about 200.

Yeah they got pillars on that stand, I hadn't noticed them before until some Charlton fan mentioned them, I blame the beer - my lad loved it because you can make a fair amount of noise under there. No way was I queuing for a beer in the ground though, **** that.
 
Went to the 'Old Valley' back in the early 80s - think it still might have had the highest capacity of any ground in England @pieguts to confirm? - I know we were able to walk from behind the goal all down the (open) terracing along the side of the pitch to our right...

The terrace down the side of the pitch was the biggest in the country at one point.

It had an attendance of over 75,000 for a cup game I believe. Not sure if that’s still a record?
