Remember the balls when I first started as a kid in the 1960s - real leather that felt like a brick when they became sodden... no wonder Jeff Astle etc suffered damage ...

Balls now are obviously much lighter - but there still needs to be a lot of research into the effect and also the impact of getting hit in the mush etc - and fully agree with you that the Initiative re kids is a good one ...

Rugby have those mouthguards that can measure head impact and necessitate a HIA ... added advantage in football is that it might also make it more difficult for the whingey ****s to speak.. <whistle>
Rugby has a bigger problem per capita. Getting bigger and faster. Props are basically signing up for early dementia.

Game - good
Result - ****
Bubble - disgraceful
Yeah a bit more interaction would have been nice, Bubble just destroys that.

Was my first derby.

Atmosphere was great, game was good and I was glad the ref let the big challenges go.

Draw about right.

I thought we had more of the ball but you had the bigger chances.

Hinchcliffe.

How former players should be when commenting on your former club, bitter as ****. Carragher to take note of this.

Bit of neutral tonight, but well taken chance by Leeds. Not sure why the Everton player was crocodile death rolling, it really don't help your team.

This ref Simon Hooper makes me laugh, everytime I see him in a game, he's like '**** off I aint giving it.'

Lucky to still be in this. Leeds should have had it wrapped up in the first half.

Hard to get excited about a lunchtime trip to Stoke after the weekend.

On the other hand it's a very rare occasion when visiting Stoke is better than the last city you visited.

Long day, forgot the missus is at her mum’s tonight and just seen it’s a Sky Sports+ lower league bonanza. May treat myself to Walsall v Crawley.
