I thought politics was off the agenda here but some idiot is posting politically related threads on the boards- will be doing one if this carries on, not interested in peoples bigoted narrow-minded political opinions
I'd give the moderaters chance to see it. The non politics/religion thing is a rule we came up with on our forum to stop threads like that starting up, but the topics are allowed on other clubs' forums. I've just asked as another thread what happens if one of our mods deletes that (although if it's a complete deletion it'll hopefully stop them adding us into threads).
Its fine on general chat mate but shouldnt be forced on other people, dont want to read people ranting on about their prejudices come here for sport info
I've been asking Mick to stop General Chat being an option on multi board posts, as have several of the other moderators. I can't do anything about a thread that wasn't originated on this board, so if someone posts in General Chat and copies it to here(or any clubs board), then only Mick and Syd can pull them down. The moderators are all asking Mick to allow multi board posts to be moderated by the mods on any of the boards it's posted on, but apparently this isn't as easy as it sounds and it's still being worked on. Personally, I'd be quite happy to see General Chat removed altogether, as would many other moderators, but Mick doesn't seem to want to bin this section completely.
The mods responded quite quickly to the post in question, to be fair I agree with freedom of speech but am here for football not politics or religion, they have the general chat section for people who want to talk about that. I never go on it as it's full of idiots and immature people but they are entitled to have their playground, i wouldn't shed any tears if that section went as it doesn't reflect well on the site for new members or casual traffic, if that was the first section you saw.
Just had a look on that "General Chat" section you are all on about. Bloody un-believable the rubbish on there. Did notice though that a lot of the people seem to be Leeds fans or from at least from Leeds.
I tend to stay away from general chat, all kinds of numpties appear on there talking all sorts of rubbish. Sometimes some of the threads are worth while, for example there was a thread made as a tribute to the 4 miners who died in Wales last month, but even that was spoit by some clown making jokes about it. I'm on this site primarily to discuss Hull City and other football related issues.
I don't know why, but this is one of the funniest things I've seen on this site in awhile. You seriously need to get a life
