A petition launched earlier to stop digital ID starting has reached 441+k already !
Can this government be trusted running anything this important openly and honestly ?

Compulsory ! A dictatorship more like. Will it have a chip in it so it can be updated with restrictions on many things ?
Will they after a set time make it harder to enjoy all the freedoms we have left before they charge ££££/ fine / blackmail those that resisted it to be able to function normally in society ?

Cash is the major target for the central banks and wef once they get rid of cash they've got us all by the balls !

Will they later make it have an expiry date so you have to pay for a new one which will cost more every time you are forced to renew it ?

Will it eventually become a social credit score card, limiting how much fuel, meat, booze, health care, holiday travel / flights. Health status and other sellable private info you have on it. Hacking hassle . Banking info and access to your money when they want without your agreement, etc dictate which privacy rights you're entitled to ?
15 min cities and a lot worst later ?

Or will a brit card stop the illegals already here and invading in greater numbers every year, rather than stopping them at and before our border and be a nice pleasant experience making things easier ?

The only redeeming feature is that any government will screw it up and it won't work properly. Correctly implemented, it could indeed provide Orwellian levels of control
