Listened to the game on TP today. Thought Burnsy showed his true colors are black and amber, no doubting his passion for the Tigers, it was evident in the sheer joy, and excitement in his voice. Thanks Gedo, thanks Burnsy, great goal and an equally great commentary.

Indeed. Apart from Gedo, Elmohamady scored a classy close range goal as well. Downward header that moved up and away from the defender on the line and into the top of the net. QUALITY. Loved the celebration from Elmo as well. Ripping off his shirt and going over to the west stand fans. Worth a booking of anyones money.

    Passion, real passion.

Vicky Gomersall of SSN fame was well impressed with Elmos body. A Great product from his mummy. Sorry.

Did Burnsy really get excited when we scored?

You sure it wasn't relief from Elmo? His fault for their goal after that weak challenge.

Fair play for making up for it.

    Wasn't his best game though.

If our midfielders don't get the ball to him quick enough he's closed down, 2 defenders on him and nowhere to go.

Get the ball to him in space and he's one of the best wingers in this division.

That goal was a whole catalogue of errors right from giving the free kick away, Brucey alluded to as much. Elmos was the worst but stockdale really should have got it if he'd gone for it, the center backs were covering the same space and Brady just stood and watched it happen, should have got his body in the way at least, could have probably got a foot in too.

I was listening to Burnsy's commentary of the goals when they replayed it after the game on Humberside and after hearing the Gedo goal back I realised I had this massive silly grin on while I was walking down Spring Bank West with loads of people around. Probably looked a right twat, but it was definitely a good piece of passionate commentary even if it didn't make much sense.

I've always enjoyed listening to Burnsy even if he does prattle on too much instead of commentating sometimes. At least he's City through and through and he's got a good sense of humour.
Compare him to the snide little **** (who sounded like he was talking through gritted teeth) on Radio Derby last night and Burnsy's down to earth approach is refreshing.

Ha, I don't do that! I was walking home on my own so thought I'd put my headphones in and listen to it on my phone.

Can't understand it when people bring a massive radio to games.

Very excited almost as much as I did. We all love a fairy story, coming on scoring with almost your first touch-stuff of Beano and Dandy-Wilsonesque! Burnsy's no different.

I wouldn't bring a massive radio at any point, but last game of the season I can see the point. 1st PL season I had the Newcastle game in my ear all afternoon. I still want to know whether someone gave the silly **** who started the rumour Newcastle had taken the lead a good slap. And before someone says it, I know Duff scored an own goal so it could have been a mistake, but it was well before that so they were just mischief making.

The funniest thing about this story is that you don't realise you look a twat at all other times.
