Without a doubt the find of our pre-season tour so far, and watching him play has been a joy to behold. Love his style of play and some of the passes he have pulled off has been jaw dropping. The first one with the outside of the foot is world class. Reminds me so much of Cesc and the way he used to slide those passes through with such ease. Without a doubt, he should feature in the Carling Cup, but would be interesting to see if Wenger plays him in league games, as well.

Total over reaction by all. The pass to Theo was through a gap in the Jap defense a mile wide ffs.

And no comment on the other passes? It's not just through balls that has been impressive, it's just his general play and ability to find space and look in so much control at such a young age. I think the composure he has for his age is unreal.

I won't get too excited yet, we were all getting hyped over Eisfield a while back based on a couple of appearances

No doubt the lad shows promise. It's just that if he was playing for someone else, the same people would be screaming out for us to sign him up on the basis of a couple of average+ passes.

No wum intended and I hope he goes on to become the next Messi/Gervinho/Ronaldo/Henry :)

Eisfield never showed this amount of ability. Also, he was a lot older.

He is 16, we aren't going to see a lot of him this year, probably not next year either. But he does show promise. If he does well we might see him come off the bench in a cup game, but I suspect after this tour, if you don't watch the U21/U18 games we will not see him until next pre-season.

The trick with those passes is to see them, not to actually play them. Watch Pirlo for an entire game and (physically speaking) he doesn't do anything a fit pub player couldn't do, except always be in the right place and always play the right pass.

Cesc broke into the first team aged 16 so Zelalem could do it too.

Can't believe you just compared Pirlo to a pub player though <laugh>

Well, I love Pirlo to pieces, and I am a massive fan of his, because I think he gives every kid hope. The guy isn't that big, not particularly fast, has a decent but not spectacular range and is absolutely one of the best midfielders in the world.

He does it by being accurate, and making correct decisions on the pitch 99 times out of 100. There seems no earthly reason why anyone shouldn't be able to do the same.

I don't think it was fair saying that I compared him to a pub player. That wasn't exactly what I was doing.
