I simply provided information from Reform. Nations do pushback boats. The Italians and Greeks do. The UK does not have to let vessels enter our territorial waters. Will we be happy with our Navy being used to deport people? This is not deportation.
The UK is as an easy touch. Imagine if it was the other way round. The French fisherman would take the law, as they always do, into their own hands and blockade the Channel. Macron would sit back laughing out of his rear end.
Because of our liberal attitude to all immigration we are becoming a third world country In the era of David Blunkett we apparently used to deport tens of thousands of undesirables We will end up going to Iran, Iraq or Syria as they will be more pleasant to live in than the Uk
an immigrant is not supposed to be able to travel through safe countries to get a specific... thats why some eastern european countries were shown building fences and stopping column's of migrants, especially during freezing cold winter month's ... the routes taken are via "countries that are being over run" they just push them on... to neighbouring! we are the end of the line!
Since 6th July 2024 the daily small boat crossings page [ .gov ] has been behind or not published on a daily keep up.......... with 2000 landing since they took over it is looking bleak .............
We’re also the softest of soft touches ! If we withdrew all benefits from people arriving illegally that would be a deterrent
.......and put these chancers in tents instead of hotels.......it would stop the boats in an instant.
Rape in this country is up by nearly 40% in the last 10 years This Government, like the last lot, refuse to publish the ethnicity of offenders of such crimes (or any crimes for that matter) Denmark had the same issue, and they did publish the data and rightly so. Nearly all offences of rape in Denmark were by Middle Eastern or Pakistani men. We keep quiet for fear of being called racist against the guilty, and it's wrong on every level ! It was the same with the grooming gangs here that ruined so many young and innocent lives while the Police did nothing. It’s about time a Government and authorities here started to protect our wives, girlfriends, daughters and grand daughters from these animals.
now 400,000 shop lifting cases reported up 40% in 1 year NO deterrent ... nick £199.99p value no prosecution so nick 1p to £199.99p and you get told off and banned if they recognise you again ........ there are over 1000 miles of public footpath's hills and mountainous area's / or even close to City rural area's another 2000 miles that need maintaining for every £25 nicked they should have to do a day carrying rock/ stone materials to assist .....
PMQ's what a very clever PMQ's from Rishi! Subliminally has put on the statute book all the works and events positively achieved regarding defence and support to Ukraine and Nato had 5 postive responses of agreement to Rishi's 5 Q's. What gets boring is Kamikaze's constant referral to 14 years as opposition now as ruling party ......................
THE OTHER THING he seems to spout on about as if the whole nation wanted him and labour in power is ... "the country wanted us they voted us in!" Well sorry not really happened that way only half the country voted and collectively they have more people who did vote actually voted in a position of opposition ... IF EACH PARTY HAD A VOTE FOR EACH % OF THE ELECTORATE VOTING FOR THEM ................ they would be a minority .gov and would likely have difficulty in getting anything passed! .... THAT is the true picture of the mess the country is in ...................... note... sounds complicated but .... leave voting as it is 650 seats ... then 1 week after voting apportion the % of in house votes each party gets based on number of votes cast for them..... [ based on 100% each 1% = 1 vote ] so a party gets 25% of the electoral ballots = 25 votes ] voting in parliament each party [ as opposed to each MP ] holds a vote of its MP's = yes /no /abs, so 25 votes might go 20% yes 4% no / 1% abs... the motion would be passed or chucked out on that basis the peoples representatives will have been spoken for!.......................
An awful lot of people voted Labour simply because they felt let down by 14 years of the Tories. If Starmer thinks he's in power for any other reason, such as how popular he and his policies are, then he's sadly mistaken. The country will wake up soon enough to what will happen, then there'll be a lot of regrets for those who voted for them.
There isn’t a cigarette paper between the two parties in relation to Ukraine, the Tories record was very good in this relation, the Labour Party backed them all the way, and rightly so. I’ve no doubt it will be the same now Labour are in government. As for the the state of things after 14 years, the truth hurts. The tories were still blaming the previous Labour government after 14 years, so to blame Labour for doing the same thing after only a couple of weeks is a bit rich
An awful lot of people voted for Labour because they let let down by the Tories? Labours share of the vote was 34%, historically that is a exceptionally very low number voting for a Government. Labours vote dropped in Wales and in parts of England. What did increase was the number of non voters (a record high), the numbers voting for parties away from Lab/Lib/Cons (a record high). Couple this with the lowest ever uniparty (two main parties combined) vote share. There was no great appetite for Labour, they just needed to be better than the Conservatives who betrayed those who voted for Conservatism. Labour have a huge majority that is built on sand.
VERY FEW new voters changed from any usual one party to labour .. most of the regular Labour voters still put the cross without having an inkling on what the manifesto is/ was/ works/ can be ambiguous. Reform was fly in the ointment.... one estimate was that they cost the tories 63 seats?? didnt say from whom though! tories had 5,000,000 less votes and labour just 587,000 less ...........!!!! EVEN Lib Dems were 100,000 down expanded to show votes available ..... [ any votes less than 1 whole % grouped ] independants and less than 1%'s = 4 votes [ includes sinnfein ] Green Party ========7 votes Reform ===========14 votes Independant Party ===2 votes SNP ============3 votes Lib Dems ========12 votes Tories ========== 24 votes Labour ==========34 votes
So, in summary in your view is labour, Lib Dem’s and reforms voters didn’t have an idea of what they were voting for. That seems a tad arrogant tbh. We have a first past the post system. In particular both Labour and the Lib Dem’s targeted seats they thought they could win, likewise Lib Dem and Labour voters voted tactically to get rid of Tory MP’s. That’s how our system works, and has done since its inception. I didn’t hear you complaining about it when it returned a Tory government. To do so now again seems arrogant. Just accept the result for what it is and stop trying to undermine it.
Pretty much agree with most of your post, I do think though lots more people voted tactically this time which may have skewed the % vote though. Your point about no great appetite for Labour was partly down to their strategy of allowing the Tory’s record to be their undoing. It worked and they now have a large majority. Now they are in government they have to make a difference otherwise they will be hung out to dry themselves at the next election. It’s in their hands.
Why didn’t she just answer the questions, that’s just deflecting tactics, obviously I don’t know anything about the subject but to me when someone attacks the questioner rather than answering the question it suggests they don’t have an answer.
NO ...no tad about it ...This was a GE of totally screwed up emotions. Every party has a hard core of voters and basically those hard core voters mostly all used their X in this election...... tories had 5,000,000 less votes and labour just 587,000 less ...........!!!! EVEN Lib Dems were 100,000+ down... so they all voted for what their party was standing for .... Assuming reform voters were just 60% who may have voted for TORIES had Reform not existed, that would have been an extra 3,000,000 tory votes with maybe 1,500,000 voting elsewhere or not at all! Probably not for labour? the result is what it is and first past the post is one of a number of democratic ways to get a result.. problem is when only 51% of the population votes it means that it is a weak choice. Imagine City gets a crowd of 24,000 but because they dont agree with aspects of the management players etc 49% decide not to pay up an go to game/ s maybe just 1 game! when the accounts are finalised they are £120,000 outside of the ffp for 3 year period! The line has been crossed and penalties are due! this GE was cut off your nose to spite your face .............. look at it simply ... compared to 2019 labour got 587,000 less votes but more than 200 seats more! tories more than 5,000,000 votes and over 200 seats less!
