I only saw this advert for the first time at H-T during todays England v France match. I was quite shocked. What a shame to see the greatest England player of a generation like this. It's quite emotional really.

A sad story really. However I read a recent interview with him and he seems to be turning himself around. He's now completely tea total and busying himself with things to do. Hopefully he can pull through whatever drug/drink problems he had for good. God knows after that chicken/murderer on the loose debacle he needs to.

Thought the same myself, he's a salutary advert for soccer excesses. To be honest I'm surprised he's still around...

Yeah, quality player. He could have kept going for a few more years if it weren't for his problems. A legend.

Sad sight i thought when i watched the advert. At first I didn't even know it was him then...WTF it's Gazza! Very sad. I saw him get sent off while he was playing for Newcastle at LR. Thought then he was a good player.

If ever we needed an example to show how thin the line is between genius and lunatic then Gazza is the man. Closely followed by Cantona of course.

Saw him a couple of months ago. He looked so gaunt. I wonder what he'd be like now if 1- he hadn't injured himself at the Cup Final and 2 - signed for Alex Ferguson. Hey ho

Cantona turned out very sane and a more than decent actor in the end.
