Such a sad end to a life. He had hell of alot ability, its just a shame he never had a manager like Fergie someone who could have sorted him out and maybe helped him off the pitch and who knows where he would be now. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-Gazza-close-to-death-The-Sun-can-reveal.html
Thankfuly he's not in as bad shape as that article makes out,or so iv'e just been told. The key to how Pauls life turns out is,how he goes on once he leaves rehab. He's in a similar boat to that of Amy Winhouse. Let's hope his story doesn't end in the same depressing way.
As with so many others...there is an inevitablity about all this, The man has never really grown up, and as been a part of an industry that has indulged him and allowed him not to... the only reason this is news is because he was once a talented footballer ( who through is own stupidity) never fully reached his full potential..there are literally thousands of gazza's all over the country and many more who deserve our sympathy more... harsh but true, at least he can say he did it "his way".. its a pity all his "friends" who egged him on in the past, didn't step in a bit more then so it didn't come to this. I suppose my views are also coloured by the fact he is a wife beater...I do hope he pulls through, but its going to happen sooner or later..
He's a man with a serious mental health problem, and as we seem to have seen recently, this is a catastrophic combination with a career in football. He certainly has my sympathy, but then again there are many who have been in a worse position than him financially and in terms of support. Never nice to see anyone's life fall apart so drastically though
