    Is in bruces plans and will stay... no more strikers now needed according to steve! Im surprised ... one injury to joelinton and were ****ed . I was hoping for another striker and a right back. Were still not much further fwd really ...

    I agree, especially given some of the free agents out there and the fact we can probably get decent amount for Gayle as he does score in the Championship

    He'll be counting Almiron and ASM I think. So - Joelinton, Almiron, Saint-Maximin, Muto, Gayle.

    And I agree it looks unbalanced - 4 small fast options but only the one bigger, stronger striker.

    Probably should have went for Welbeck, but he would have demanded first team football and huge wages.

    Charlie Austin would have been a good option I think.

    He will guarantee them promotion and Biesla knows it.

    I can see Kalvin Phillips coming the other way in a straight swap too. Gayle is more valuable to them and Phillips to us.

    This would of course mean Andy Carroll will be inbound.
