Transfer Rumours Gayle - Rondon deal back on?

Hopefully they work something out. We have a big CF issue at the moment considering that Rondon is no longer our player. With Perez sounding like he is off that's effectively all of our goals.

 

Replacing Rondon is difficult and I hope we sort something out.

Replacing Perez simply wouldn't happen. We'd end up playing Muto/ Shelvey/ Ki in the position and they'd be half as effective. Or we play Almiron there and look for a winger instead - but end up with Atsu/ Murphy there...

 

Presuming it's happening then this deal needs to get done quick. It's getting on a bit now. It's critical we have a CF be that Rondon or other in soon. We managed to find an identity the second half of last season and at the moment that's lost until we resolve this ownership issue.

 

I simply cannot see how ANY deal can even be approached when the ownership of the club is still not resolved?

 

Rondon has come out and said he wants to come back to NUFC again.

 

Gayle ultimately cost west Brom promotion vs villa and for that I never want to see him play for us again .... ever

 

Nothing is going on in terms of buying players until it becomes obvious nobody is buying us.

Haven't even been checking our transfer rumours at the moment.

 

Just a question of how Fatty and Penfold can mess this one up.

 

He wants to come. The money is not big compared to what a prem team would usually have to pay for an equivalent player nowerdays and he is proven so not a risk. Just get it done ffs

 

You’re right. It’s going to take one heck of a screw up to mess this one up but if anyone can do it ,it’s Penfold.

 

We want him. He wants us. It’s 16m. Takeover or no takeover its ****ing worth it. We can flog Gayle for 10 million easy. It’s a no ****ing brainier.

Starting to think the takeover is real on the basis that no Rondon deal no transfer movement and no Rafa contract/comment. It’s a bit to quiet. Do you know what I mean.
