I know we're playing Stoke this weekend, but is anyone who couldn't get to Stoke for whatever reason contemplating going to the semi final second leg vs Darlington?

Tie is set up nicely with Darlo taking a slim one goal lead into the game, but Gateshead have two away goals so a 1-0 win would be enough to see them go through to the final.

Would be good to see Gateshead get to Wembley (even though I wouldn't go as the final clashes with the Brum home match).

Probably gonna appear like a 'part time Newcastle supporter' by posting this, but it's been too long since I've been to a game (after having to cancel last week due to mates birthday) and I'm starting to get withdrawl symptoms again :)

Yeah me, should be good saw them play Luton earlier in the year, though it was the week we lost 2-1 at home to Stoke, so I hope thats not an omen for the Newcastle match.

Just checking you know about this thread. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/30021-Gateshead-FC <ok>

Despite the rivalry and the fact they dumped up out, I'd be quite happy to see Gateshead go on and win the Trophy. It'd bring more attention to the area, especially if Whitley Bay defend the Vase again.

It'd be great if this match could get as big a turnout as the game at Croft Park did, especially considering Toon are away that day.

Haha, yeah I was at that match too, day before the Stoke match I believe? Was quite a big win for Gateshead considering Luton are promo hopefuls, so hope for another upset :)

I know I thought Luton would have turned them over, but Gateshead surprised as they have done a few times this year. Don't think it would be too much of an upset if Gateshead won.

If I wasn't going to Stoke I'd have certainly gone to Gateshead, I'd love to see them win something.

Cheers ModFace, hadn't noticed that thread <ok>

Either way, a north-east team will end up in the final so good publicity for the region again.
Shame that the Blyth-Gateshead game was on the same day as the Bolton match, would've quite liked to go to that, heard it was quite a lively atmosphere :)

Was at the league game between Gateshead-Darlo a few weeks ago and because the crowd are so far away from the pitch and opposition fans the atmosphere rarely gets going :\ There was about 2400 at the midweek one, so maybe 3000 for this one as it's better time/could lead to Wembley.

Still got the dolly bird cheerleaders at Gateshead?

Well worth the entrance money alone.

They had cheerleaders? :| Missed this... unless they've got rid of them.

However, at the Notts County - Gateshead match in the FA Cup 1st round, there were some pretty tasty cheerleaders (might've just been 'hot from far away' though, was too far away to pass decent judgement but they looked alright :) ) advertising Hooters down the road from Meadow Lane.

Best and only good thing about basketball at the arena :) Intervals are more entertaining than the matches.

I remember back when I was in Australia and followed 'Wollongong Wolves' they had cheerleaders but they were about 14/15 so it was.... awkward.

A curious mix that didn't break the concentration I had on my saucy hotdog.

    <EDIT> Don't even go there.

They make them big in OZ though so it would have been easy to think they were older.

I'm going off appearances so I guess that means they were probably 12! <yikes>

First day in Oz I stopped off at my Auntie's before heading to Bondi, a neighbour's 'kid' came round. Absolute stunner, 17, long curly brown hair and a perfect body. Obviously comfortable with the house as she took her shoes off and put her feet up on the sofa. We had a bit of a chat and I fell asleep due to jetlag.

On the train to Sydney I spent the whole time just thinking '****fuckfuckfuck'.
