Gateshead FC

Great start of the season for them, joint top of the league on points after 6 games and unbeaten. Would be great to see them get promoted to League 2! Then they would have a board on here and they would be on FIFA 13!

Went to the friendly game at the International Stadium, very impressed with the way they run it.

I see Gateshead as a fairly comfortable mid-table League 2 side within the next 5 seasons, really impressed with their chairman's ambition but also sensibilities. They could even replace Darlington as the region's 5th best club!

 

I'm delighted for Gateshead! There really is potential for a club like them to grow in stature, after all, Newcastle is a one club city, and who knows? They could eventually fill an excellent, renowned stadium with many more fans from this side of the river!

 

Don't care much about Gateshead but it could be a local derby some day.

My second club is Whitley Bay FC

 

Haha. My local team did the double over WBFC last season.

Whitley Bay are a fantastic cup team, if only they could turn that into league form they could believably be gunning for a place in the Conference North. Decent fanbase too.

 

Gateshead are my second team, go to their matches when NUFC aren't playing and enjoy it. Just wish they'd hurry up and move to their new proposed ground. Hate the International Stadium.

 

Can't see Gateshead going up, but will be near the play off places come the end of the season.

 

Imagine if they were a Prem team in about 20 years time.
That would really split support, assuming Newcastle are still in the Prem then...

 

The guys singing the Gateshead songs at the back of the stand were Toon supporters, must follow both teams.

 

If they got on here there would be an almighty battle to see who's mod

 

Don't think being a mod pays enough fight over.
