If that's not a statement of intent from Southampton then what is? Certainly sends out a message to West Ham and the other teams in the Prem for sure. He's an excellent player IMO. Also speaks volumes that a player would rather join Southampton over AVB's doomed-for-failure Spurs side. It's not the 1st, 2nd or 3rd player that has rejected them in favour of another club this summer, in reality it's the 9th or 10th. Huddlestone's tweet yesterday also sends out a message things are not all well in the camp. please log in to view this image Could end in tears unless he's sacked early
Spurs could well be the suprise package this year. Remember when they were in the relegation zone after a dozen or so games pre 'arry. Can see this happening again. They have an average squad on paper without King, Adebayor and Modric, they have manager out of his depth and with reported disharmony in the squad. All points to AVB being first to be sacked. They may yet make a few more signings and turn things around but not currently looking good to be a Spurs fan. Just how massive is that Drogba goal and penalty in Munich looking now? One of the biggest tipping points in ours and Spurs' recent history without a shadow of a doubt.
Huddlestons tweet shows Huddleston to be a total ****wit. Will these clowns never learn the right way to deal with a problem ??? Nothing good comes from disgruntled infants trying to get a bunch of twitter drop kicks behind them. Ask Rio.
Agreed if it was aimed at AVB but I don't think there's much evidence to suggest it is, is there? As for Ramirez chosing Southampton over us, even if what the agent said is true we pulled out because of his wage demands. 9th player to turn us down?
I was going to say that you would have all the planks over on here making threads like that but its too late.
Having signed Sigurdsson from under the noses of the Mousers, and Vertonghen from under the noses of the Gooners, and having nicked Fryers off United (to the dismay and anger of SAF, himself), I think it's fair to say that if we had wanted to buy Ramirez we would have bought him. Not a bad wum attempt. I would have given it 5/10, but the photo of the nuclear mushroom-cloud is a little too contrived, so it's only 4/10 for me.
I think this could well be one of the best signings of the summer. A great bit of business from the Saints.... Lets all laugh at Tottenham lalalala
