You got the title wrong. It's supposed to be 'Gary's done one'.

But yes it is unbelievable. He's generally been a crap manager everywhere else but he's done alright with the Wendies.

I heard an interview with the Udders Chairman on 5 Live just after Clark did one, and they said it was something to do with the wages they are paying, which they will not be able to pay in L1 next year so they have to get out of the league this year.

Edit - I wasn't listening too closely though so I may be a little off with the info

 

They won the Sheffield derby on Sunday, 3rd in the league and can still get into the top 2. Strange decision, Megson has his critics but he's done a good job with the Wendies. Seems like a daft thing to do in the middle of a promotion race, and one which tyou're right in the middle of. Charlton look home and hosed for the league title but 2nd place is still up for grabs.

 

I think this is more to do with the fact that Megson is getting ready to report Mandaric to the LMA for offering his job to numerous managers behind his back over the course of the last few weeks/months.
I don't think it's a quickfire decision, it's been rumbling on for ages!

 

i am wondering IF Mad Mandaric has got Mad Mick McCarthy lined up for the Wendies ?

true. But that would not only get there wage bill down alot but also inject many millions into the clubs coffers. thats assuming that Udders miss out on promotion again.

A lot of my mates are Wednesday fans and none of them can understand it, he's got the 2nd best win % of all wednesday managers and compared to what they were like when he took over they're doing brilliantly, weds fans are very much aware that there are 4 strong teams in that league and that top2 was never guaranteed, shocker from Mandaric it seems.....on the plus side, for Megson this has got to be the first time he's left a club and the fans are gutted!

 

Cant stand the guy but this is a bizzare decision from mandaric

 

Mandaric is a strange guy and this decision might come back to bite him on his backside.
