    Surely footballers would have saved up more than that unless he also has other investments ??

    That is just hard cash. The sensible ones invest most of it in property etc for tax reasons.

    His house (poss houses) which will be paid for will probably be worth over £2.5 million. He would be worth the best part of £5 million + I would imagine!
