Still cant believe he plays for us !!! Not moaning but why did no other clubs come in for him ??? Only thing is his reputation proceeded him. Watching him come off the pitch on sunday was good to see how he greeted Malky and how Malky greeted him total respect from both.
He does seem quite different from his reputation. 5 sendings off last year, not a booking this. More than just a stopper, I think with better plaers around him he'd be more of a creative player as well. As said above, can't believe he's ours. Him and Caulker are players you could build a team around. We need to hang on to both. And to do that we need to hang on to MM.
If i seen him the street i would kiss him on the forehead just like did at the end of the jacks game malky absolute quality we are so lucky to have him- hope him and malky are here a long time- and caulker and ktc...**** it all of them!
Some guys on Malaysian Astro Sports were having a debate. The Malaysian guy (Shebby Something) was saying Tan should be careful because owners are often taken for a ride by clubs. When Peter Butler (Ex West Ham) pointed out that the rebrand only worked because of the timing of the whole thing, Shebby goes well that is the trouble; fans think they own the club and they just want rich people to give them money. The owner can do what he wants and Tan should stay strong. I thought that was interesting. But then with Medel, Butler lost all credibility with me by stating an owner has a right to question high cost signings like Medel. Shebby than says that Medel is typical of somebody who costs a lot more than his worth on the pitch. I mean all of this was after the Swansea game!
Ok, a conspiracy theory on this. Perhaps VT directed those comments as he feels Medel wasn't worth it and wanted gauge reactions from the fans. After all it's is his TV station. That little theory aside, what a load of bollox, Medel was well worth the 11 million. He has been one of our most consistent performers (I know only 10 games) and is also of superior quality to most in the team (IMO). So Shebby and Butler grow a set or bog off!
