I see that Garth Crooks has picked Joe Allen in his team of the week.

Joe was my Man of the Match against Wolves.

Great news for Joe. Always nice to get noticed and the lad deserves it for his recent displays. <applause>

I'll second that. How he wasn't MOTM was beyond me!

Steve Claridge is not held in very high esteem by many posters on this forum. He was also being constantly ridiculed on BBC 606
However, some years ago, he did an in depth analysis of Joe Allen, and he was full of praise for him, forecasting a bright future. In fact,he was positively gushing about him.
So,well done Mr. Claridge, for being so insightful.Perhaps a few heads should hang in shame here.

"Position forward" - Hmmm, was he even at the game, do you think? Claridge is a hole of the highest A, make no mistake.

If he keeps on improving like he is it will be difficult to keep him should a big club come calling.......well deserved if they do and i for one wont begrudge him his opportunity to earn megabucks..... I would be disappointed yes but proud of him all the same.....
