What the hell, is he for real or what? This was a bone breaking tackle, as we could see on motd

And so is Bruce, what a twat, his leg collided with the boy, the fact is it was a dangerous tackle, and if appealed I can't see it being overturned .

The tackle may have lacked 'intent' but still, it was mistimed and reckless and Naughton now has to endure its consequences.

Naughtons injury may be season ending if scans show ligament damage, but we wont know for sure if he has until the swelling subsides sufficiently to allow a scan.

    50-50 challenge my arse.

I have a lot of time for Garth Crooks and respect his legacy but I'm sure at times he gets his opinions from the mouths of tv commentators.

Wouldn't expect Bruce to say anything else, he was gutted but and defended his player and team as their manager.

But the TV commentators were saying it was a red card on motd, and looking at it from a couple of different angles it did look like a run of the mill tackle from one angle , but looking at what the ref would have seen then a definite red.

I watched it on t'internet and the pundit, who was pro Hull all game, said the ref had made a terrible decision to send him off.

Imo it was a red card tackle and the ref was spot on with his decision

Agreed - looked a definite red from where I was sitting.

Anyone else think that McShane was offside when he scored? When Bruce headed on, McShane looked off to me.

Yes I thought their goal was offside but haven't analysed it in depth.

It was a 50-50 challenge caused by Ki's short back pass (Monk said the same thing) and their player didn't intend to hurt Naughton but was dangerous and reckless. Most Hull fans agree with that on their forum. Crooks is entitled to his opinion but he's wrong. Simple.

He got one thing right - Gomis was on top form Saturday.

I am certain he didn't mean to hurt Naughton, but I think it was a dangerous tackle, and it was a red card for certain. Crooks on this as I said is an idiot, he's had a chance view this from all sorts of angles and if he had the view the ref had then it was a certain red.

I don't see them appealing this card yet, and if they don't it will show that they don't think it will be overturned.

Shearer & Gullit got it right on MOTD in fairness. I was hoping Gomis would make Crooks's TOTW but didn't expect it.

It was a career ending tackle that was a 50/50 tackle in all fairness, It was just one of those tackles that went wrong but not meant if you know what i mean.....

I know what you mean Dai.
Laudrup would have dealt with it better.
