Monk has only been manager for just over a season. I wonder how all of those named did in their first ever season as manager or their second.

As great as they are I doubt any of them walked into a war zone as Garry Monk did. I doubt too they had to demolish an unsettling squad of players and entirely rebuild a poisoned changing room as Garry Monk did. If they did though I assume they would have handled the fall out with similar strength, dignity and respect displayed by our very own, young fledgling manager Garry Monk.

Monks first full year in charge, combined with the short start of this season even though only 4 games old, demands respect and Garry Monk is rightfully being applauded by those without bitterness, envy or animosity but with intellect, intelligence and an understanding of the game.

I am quite sure in saying that none of the esteemed managers mentioned have ever had to do what Garry Monk has DONE and that's the amasing thing in all of this, however difficult it may have been Garry Monk did it and while he was doing it he built a superb squad on a shoe string and instilled strength and doggedness into our game turning us from being a flimsy team of individuals into a solid squad of performers. Takes a lot of man management skills to do that and puts all of the insipid deniers in their place.

The Germans have a wonderful word which describes Garry Monk and his reign perfectly, Ausgezeichnet, there is no other word for it<ok>

Some would say that he was the cause of the team being unsettled to begin with, so not really that hard to bring the team under order. I am not taking anything from his accomplishments, but the ethos was there all the way through the last 10 years. If he didn't step up the club would have brought someone in who could do the job.

And we're off again with the now famous bleated "some would say" meme.

So far the 'Some would say' camp have come up with nothing, nil, zero, no links, no media reports, no interview to underpin and support their woefully inaccurate point of view.

The 'some would say' boys like to say what? That its all Monks fault. Monk caused the bad blood in the changing room, Monk got rid of those fantastic players who came to step on us to move into the premiership, Its Monks fault Tumulutu was banned, its Monks fault that Laudrup was so crap in his second year, its Monks fault that Laudrup has poor man management abilities, its Monks fault that we under performed in Laudrups second year, its all monks fault Michu is crocked. Everything to do with the Spanish clique and the loser Laudrup is always Monks fault according to 'Some people'.

I'll tell you what is Monks fault, where we are now compared to where we were when Laudrup was leading us nowhere. Every single thing about the amazing squad we have, the highest position achieved, the incredible free players we have, the money we spent on the players, all of the successes last year, the treble over Utd, etc etc etc is ALL Monks fault.

Regardless of Monk and his evil ways, all any one has to do to know that we have a superb manager now, may be the best we've ever had, is to look at where we've come from under Monk. This shows Monks actions whatever they were, were justified.

Our current squad, position, style of play, in game successes are definately Garry Monks fault and I thank that Cosmic Tommy Cooper for every second Monk is in charge. 'Some people' <doh>

From that time!! Though it was glossed over there was friction.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25834951

So don't fly off the handle just because people have said this at the time.

And I suggest instead of being childish with the crap above, try to debate!

Regardless of previous politics, what he has achieved last season this season, and in rescuing us from certain relegation just has to be applauded especially as a Rookie, who was thrown into the deep end of the most difficult league in the world, most reasonable minded footy fans would acknowledge that, and that's without starting on his signings.................<ok>

    "rescuing us from certain relegation".

Speculation, speculation, speculation. Neither you,nor anyone else, can make such a categorical statement. It's something you cannot prove.
