Now that Garner has gone public about the lack of depth in the squad it seems he is putting pressure on TS to get his wallet out in January. But Thomas is committed to cutting costs, so that seems unlikely unless he can raise money by selling players. Snag is they aren't worth anything apart from LLEEAABUURRRN who is injured. Maybe he's hoping one or two kids will play a blinder against Newcastle in the Youth Cup, and the Sheiks will get their wallets out?
I don't see any lack of depth except at LB and striker, only a lack of quality, and it was poor of Garner to come out with this after a loss and a dreadful performance. Moaning about his players isn't going to inspire them to up their game, and TS will probably pull the trigger again if their are more losses like this one. Manager Vs Owner - No Contest. It might take TS longer than he'd like because he's done it too many times already

Ben Garner has shown he isn't up to the job.
Five wins out of 19 league games is p*ss poor. The team have no momentum and show no sign of a sustained attack on the top half, never mind top 6.
They may not be the best players, but they are not being motivated or trained properly.
Those wins we got a few weeks back ha me hoping that BG had stopped moping and knuckled down to the task.
    Guess I was wrong.

If I was TS I would tell Garner he gets nothing between now and the end of his contract.
The squad should be fed only from the academy or free agents until BG can walk away with nothing.
Is that in 18 months or 30? I can't remember.
Under this gaffer, any spending in January would simply be money down the drain.

Jimmy Floyd Hasslebank, I kid you not. I have just put £100 on Stockport beating us on Wednesday.

It's a strange coincidence that every manager we get now is bad and needs to be sacked. It's almost as if there might be other factors involved......

Seriously, I was finding things hard work to watch recently, but apart from another long injury list, Garner was also left with a very unbalanced squad. Frankly he's done some stupid stuff, but the injuries are appalling again, and the squad is inadequate.

Pretty dumb management all round from the owner.

As Groucho Marx said, "I wouldn't join any club that would have me as a member".
