Am i the only one who doesnt rate barry in the slightest?

I would honestly rather play with 10 men on the field or paul mcshane in his place

he is piss poor, cant pass/shoot, no skill, can barely tackle or head, just another body on the pitch if you ask me

What about Scott "I can pass the ball 5 yards" Parker. Nothing ever comes from him. He doesn't lose the ball a great deal, but when you're passing it the distances he does. <doh>

Disagree completely, he's very level-headed and intelligent imo, get the ball and plays a simple pass to a more creative player, cant ask for much more

Is level headed another phrase for boring??? Any time he tried to pass the ball more than ten yards tonight, he lost it. Most over-rated player for a long time.

    Barry and Parker are woeful.

Barry does try to get forward at least, whereas Parker always goes sideways or back.

Parkers stats are a ****ing fiddle, he's like Swansea in 1 man, safe, short, risk free.

He is ****ing ****e. Barry is only marginally better.

Neither should be anywhere near the England squad, and neither are anywhere near Spurs & Man City standard, IMO.

Don't like him but must be something about him as the past England managers have picked him and Mancini plays him over the impressive (IMO) De Jong.

As I said cannot stand him and cannot watch international football it bores the hell out of me esp. England.

Think the last Internationals I actually enjoyed we're the south American qualifiers before the Last world cup when Palermo scored that last min goal to take Argentina to the world cup

I would rather have Beckham and Scholes back in the team!, and what does Carroll do ?, and yes who rates Parker, and where was the wingers, we needed Milner and Downing getting down the wings more.

I genuinely believe if I trained every day for my job, I could do Parker's job nearly as effectively as he could.

None of the team realy shone tonight, not Roys fault, the FA should have been more decisive and got someone in sharper, they had time enough. didnt expect a lot, and thats exactly what I got.

Now I havn't seen the game as I was invited for drinks but I'm going to say you lot expect way too much and need to get real.

Oh and whilst I'm on, supporting Englang is not a criticism Job! You are supposed to get behind who ever we turn out irrespective of wether they are fit to wear the shirt or not and bloody support them!!!! Not slag them. As I say so havn't watched the match but I could have predicted half the response .

If Barry is unable to recover in time it could provide an opportunity for Jordan Henderson, who replaced the former Aston Villa man in Oslo and is already on England's list of standby players.

Whilst I don't rate Barry, saying you would rather have McShambles on the pitch is taking it a bit far!!!

Quite often England have had one of their better tournaments when one of the establishment gets injured and the manager has to try something different - hopefully this will be the case here, although I am not convinced that Jordan wil be the right answer.

Agreed it is one of lives mysteries that anybody picks him for any team! Along with missing socks and why all my drives have to end up in a bunker!

Watched the game till about the 40 minute mark then got bored, negative football from a negative team. The commentators were all over Gerrard as if their lives depended on it IMO he was crap from what I saw. Apparently we no longer play hoof ball but, with Carroll up front by himself there was nothing to gain from playing that way anyway. Roy Hodgson has a hard job to do with this team and, personally speaking I hope he succeeds. To do that however he has to look long and hard at the old guard clique.
