Gareth Bale world's No1 target
"guardian.co.uk"
There will not be a hotter property in the transfer market. Internazionale of Serie A are ready to make an opening bid of £40m for him and treble his wages to £120,000 a week, so smitten is the club's president, Massimo Moratti, with the heady blend of pace, power and technique that he has seen in the Welshman and it will be the prompt for a scramble. Real Madrid will weigh in and the desire of the Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy, and his directors, not to mention the club's manager, Redknapp, to retain their prized asset will be sorely tested.

Would spurs fans be happy to let Bale go for £40 mill, can we get an adequate replacement, like all football fans ive been impressed with Bale this season(notably the champions league)can Spurs afford to let this player go for such a huge amount of money!

thoughts

Who could we possibly get to replace him???

Anyone even remotely close to his ability and potential would cost £40m + anyway with wages of £200k PW so what would be the point?

ShelfSideSpur, was i asking if both sides have denied the clam,,,,,,NOOOO. Can Spurs turn down 40 mill is the question i was asking, read the article 1st <thumbs up icon>

If you have no opinion apart from your little thumbs up,dont reply on my articles<OK icon>

Luke

This is a Spurs board

It is not a place for fans of other teams to wum (which you are doing as there is no evidence whatsoever of Bale going to Man Utd)

I am giving you a break and not deleting all your posts on sight

If you are not happy with this then I suggest you either go to the Man Utd board or complain to Maltese Mick about my dictatorial moderation

John

Personally I agree with you

However a lot of posters at 606 were fed up with the likes of Luke, Holte and Roger and won't come over here if wums are tolerated

Maybe a single thread is the answer?

I was'nt on 606 that long,i dont have a prob with wums, however your right,if it upset users that much its not a good thing,i cant see wums sticking to a single thread tho!

Harry talks about other teams' players all the time

It doesn't mean they are going to sign for Spurs

If old whisky face wants to try and tap up Bale then he'd better be prepared to pay a lot more than he did for Berbatov, because Levy will ask for silly money

"between being a stand out player in a mediocre team"

That's this season's Man Utd alright

Previous teams would have never conceded 2 goals at Villa or parked the bus at WHL

Yes, he is a stand out player in a mediocre team, where would Manusa be without him, also without referee howard webbs help, manusa would no be in the position they are!
