Should never have announced that he will be having talks. Should have wasted no time and just announce that a contract has been signed. Any delay after the former is just unsettling.

I thought he's under contract until the end of the season so there's still time,is there a chance of him leaving?

I think they just announced something before as a way to let fans know they are intending to do something with respect to keeping Ainsworth. I can see where you are coming from about the not announcing they were to have talks but I guess they are trying to be a bit more honest and transparent about things so I think that in itself should be welcomed.

I do wonder if it has been put back a little due to the cash flow issues and the potential sale of the training ground with them rightly taking priority. I would be surprised if anyone came for Ainsworth as yet as at this stage he is still fresh and we haven't survived relegation (yet) so as yet he hasn't achieved anything. I don't think we will be relegated though but still have to be cautious in that respect as was highlighted by the recent run of defeats prior to the Torquay game.

Why would he stay at an inconsequential middling little non-league club for more than a few months?! <laugh>

Why indeed, when he could go to an up and coming club like, for example, Colchester.
